The Department of Religion, Philosophy and History offers courses at every level within the academic disciplines of religion, philosophy and history. In addition, we teach at the teacher training course (PPU), and at the teacher training programmes: both for preschool, primary and secondary school. We educate professionals who work across many sectors and businesses. All our bachelor programmes include a practical course which gives the students the opportunity to test their qualifications in professional life.
We do research in many academic disciplines like history, religious studies, ethics and philosophy. Over the last 15 years, the department has carried out several large research projects financed by the Research Council of Norway.
