Every year the University of Agder awards an education prize. The education prize is awarded to a unit, an environment or an individual at the university who has made a special effort to develop the learning environment and /or the quality of the study programmes. The prize money amounts to NOK 100 000, and the prize should be seen as an explicit recognition of work that contributes to innovation and development. The prize is awarded to one winner only.
The Faculties, the Teacher Education Unit and the Student Organisation in Agder may each nominate one candidate, see template for nomination. The internal processes are decided by the units themselves, but the units must give reasons for their nominations.
Deadline for nomination to the university’s education prize is 1 September.
A prize committee assesses the nominated candidates and recommends one candidate as the winner of the prize. The University Board awards the prize.
