University College Ghent (HoGent) is located in the Belgian province of East Flanders and is one of Belgium's most popular student cities with 75,000 students. Ghent is Belgium's third-largest city and is called "Europe's best-kept secret" by Lonely Planet and is listed by Geographic Traveler Magazine as the most authentic historic city in the world. In 2011, Ghent became UNESCO Creative City of Music.
HoGent offers a creative environment within all forms of art education. The Faculty of Arts has agreements in the field of popular and classical music at the master's level.
Students from UiA must take 30 ECTS per semester. HoGent has a master's program consisting of two specializations:
Composition (in this specialization one can choose between composition or music production).
Performing (in this specialization one can choose between performing music, classical or performing music, jazz/pop).

Housing
HoGent helps with student housing.
Room for exchange students is located in the Mercator D student house, located approx. 1.5 km. from the center and approx. 2 km. from campus. All rooms are 12m2. There are single rooms with a bed, mattress, comforter, pillow, desk, wardrobe, bookcase, and a small fridge. There is a shared bathroom, shower, kitchen and washing machine. Internet access is included in the rooms.
