Gothenburg is Sweden's second-largest city, with 37,000 students, Gothenburg University is one of the largest in Northern Europe. The university has campuses all over the city, and the Academy of Music and Drama is located right in the center. the Academy of Music and Drama offers courses in music, opera, musical, performance and theater at all levels.
The language of instruction is Swedish.
Tuition
No tuition fees.
If you apply for an exchange within this network you will get a monthly grant from the network. The grant varies in size from year to year but can be around EUR 200 per month.
The Academy of Music and Drama offers a wide range of study programs and courses. As an exchange student, you should initially be able to apply for admission to all courses. Ensure that the courses meet the requirements for specialization in the main instrument.
Housing
As an Erasmus and Nordplus student, you apply for housing through the University of Gothenburg, The Academy of Music and Drama.
Admission
You must be registered on a study program at UiA. For more information on admission requirements- please follow the link.
As a performing music student, you must attach recordings / have an entrance exam as part of the application.
UiA is free to nominate qualified candidates, but it is the University of Gothenburg, The Academy of Music and Drama who chooses how many students they can accept. The number of seats can thus vary from year to year.

The fall semester lasts on some study programs until the end of January.
