Anne Camilla Furre Thommesen

Anne Camilla Furre Thommesen is a trained violist with a master's degree from the University of Agder - Department of Classical Music and Music Education. She has a bachelor's degree from the Barratt-Dues Institute of Music in Oslo. Important teachers have been Soon-Mi Chung and Ida Bryhn. Furre Thommessen has a broad orchestral experience through freelancing with Norwegian orchestras. Today, she combines her own performing activities with a position as adviser, project manager and orchestra coordinator at the Department of Classical Music and Music Education at the University of Agder. From 2017-2021 she worked as course leader and member of the staff at Valdres Summer Symphony - Northern Europe's largest course for children and young people in classical music. Furre Thommessen has been a soloist with the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and the Agder Symphony Orchestra, she has won prizes in several competitions and has performed as a soloist in Europe, USA and Asia.
