Erik Michael Nesland is Associate Professor of Law at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. He is Dr. Juris (Ph.D.) of Law from the University of Tromsø and Candidate of Law from the University of Oslo.
Nesland’s special fields of interest are the theory of law, the law of obligation and real estate law. Nesland has been teaching in these fields of law, in addition to international law (UN, Human Rights, EU/EEC), legal history, administrative law and bankruptcy law.
Nesland’s research is focused on the theory of law, the law of obligation and contract law. He has published articles in Juridisk Tidsskrift and Rætferd, Nordisk juridisk tidsskrift.
Before joining the University of Agder in 2008, Nesland was Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Tromsø.
