Kerttu Kettunen (DSc, University of Oulu) works as an Associate Professor at Department of Management at the University of Agder School of Business and Law.
Kerttu Kettunen's research lies in the intersection of organization theory and marketing studies. She is experienced in institutional theory and historical organization studies and has applied qualitative research methods, such as case studies and ethnographic research methods to the study of institutionalization processes at micro, meso and macro levels.
Currently, Kerttu is studying how perceptions of corporate brand, reputation, status, and legitimacy are being formed by organization's stakeholders in social media communities.
She is also the study programme manager of the Bachelor's Programme in Marketing and Management and Bachelor's Programme in Business Administration.
Kerttu Kettunen has studied the history of management education and international accreditation projects at business schools. Her latest research interests include business school competition, status, reputation, and branding. She has published her research in the Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Managment Inquiry, Management & Organizational History, Tertiary Education and Management, and Journal of Management Development.
Kerttu has taught a bachelor program course MF206 Multimedia marketing and communications in 2020 and 2022. She is the study program manager of the Bachelor's Program in Marketing and Management, and Bachelor's Program in Business Administration.
Kerttu Kettunen has worked actively in the area of international business accreditations, primarily AACSB. During 2011-2013, she worked as Accreditation Manager at Oulu Business School, University of Oulu (accredited since 2013). During 2014-2020, Kerttu worked as the manager of AACSB accreditation project and Head of Faculty Development at Turku School of Economics, University of Turku (accredited since 2019).
