Stine Rye Bårdsen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Finance. She holds a M.Sc. degree in Resource Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Science (former Agricultural University of Norway). She also holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Agder.
Bårdsen’s research interests focus on the fields of Management Control, Cultural Management and Tourism. She has teaching experience in subjects such as Experience Economy, Cultural Economcis, Revenue Management, and Management Accounting. Bårdsen has also been the School of Business and Law’s contact person at the Vest-Agder County Concil’s trainee program for candidates from the BA programme in Tourism Management in the period 2012 - 2019. In addition, sh has been the School of Business and Law's contact person at the business cluster for culture, experience, and torusim in Agder and Telemark (Southern Norway), USUS, since 2010.
Until August 2019, Bårdsen was the Study Programme Manager for three of the BA programs at the School of Business and Law; Business Administration, Marketing and Management, and Tourism Management. She is currently the academic coordinater for student exchange related to these BA programmes.
She has supervised nearly 100 BA theses in Tourism Management and around 20 M.Sc. theses in Management Accounting/Management Control.
