Bjørn Einar Strandberg is Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. He has an Auditing and Accounting degree from NHH Norwegian School of Economics, similar to a Master’s degree, as basis for his State Authorisation.
Strandberg has published several scientific articles in journals such as Magma, Revisjon og regnskap and Praktisk økonomi og ledelse. He is a co-author of Internasjonale regnskapsstandarder (Cappelen) and IFRS i Norge (published by EY).
Strandberg is a technical partner in PwC, covering IFRS for listed clients, specialising in financial statement presentations, business combinations, consolidated statements, deferred tax and company law related issues.
At PwC, Strandberg is a partner within the Global Accounting Consulting Services organisation, which gives him direct access to the leading competence world-wide within the field of IFRS-interpretation, awareness of political and policy development.
Strandberg is also Chair of the technical body for IFRS issues under the Norwegian Accounting Standards Board. He is also head of the global working group that discusses and resolves PwC’s positions on technical issues within the area valuation of biological assets.
