Hans Christian Garmann Johnsen is Professor at the Department of Working Life and Innovation at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. He holds an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and gained his PhD at the Copenhagen Business School.
In addition to his position at the University of Agder, Garmann Johnsen is and Visiting Professor at Deusto University in Spain. Garmann Johnsen has been adjunct Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Senior Researcher at at NORCE (previous Agderforskning) and visiting scholar at several universities including UC Berkeley and Cornell in the USA, and Kingston University in the UK.
For several years, Garmann Johnsen has been involved in national research programs on collaborative innovation. His research has resulted in a number of articles in journals, such as Regional Studies, Science and Public Policy, International Journal of Action Research and The Journal of Human-Centred Systems and Machine Intelligence. His latest books are published by Gower, Springer and Routledge.
Garmann Johnsen is a specialist in the study of working life and innovation. He is Managing Editor of European Journal of Workplace Innovation, and Center leader for Centre for Advanced Studies in Regional Innovation Strategy (RIS -Centre). He currently teaches Philosophy of Science at two universities: University of Agder and Duesto University in San Sebastian, Spain.
