I work with career development for academic employees at UiA.

I completed my master`s degree in "Sports Science and Health" at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense) in 2013. Same year, I started in a PhD position at Høgskulen på Vestlandet (Sogndal) in the Active Smarter Kids project, enrolled at the PhD programm at Norges Idrettshøgskole (NIH). The dissertation entitled "Cardiometabolic risk factors in children" was submitted in the summer of 2019, and was defended at NIH in 2020. In the autumn of 2020, I started in a 3-year postdoctoral position at UiA.

Research interests

My research mainly deals with the association between physical activity and health in children and adolescents

Courses and teaching

At UiA, I have been teaching in the subjects like dance and gymnastics, as well as theoretial courses like "Physical activity and Health" and "Scientific Methods and
Statistics" on the bachelor's program in Physical Education and Sports, as well as on Primary School Teacher Education for grades 1-7 and 5-10.

Academic interests

Physical activity, cardiometabolic health, children and adolescents
