Contents
The aim of the course is that the student will learn to write a scientific article, and to improve their writing skills. Students will practice critical thinking, reading and writing e.g. by preparing a scientific article during the course. The course will also focus on ethical and practical guidelines and criteria for the publication of research.
Teaching and learning methods
The course includes lectures and workshops. Instruction will be given in English, but if only Norwegian-speaking students attend, the teaching language will be Norwegian. Information will be given in Canvas at the start of the course. Estimated student workload in this course is 135 hours.
Examinations
• Weekly submissions must be passed.
• Oral test must be passed.
• Compulsory attendance at certain teaching hours must be approved.

Examinations
During the course, students must prepare a scientific article, which must be submitted for assessment. Grade: passed/not passed.
Student evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
