On successful completion of the course, the student should be able to communicate a message effectively in a web context, as well as create his / her own digital CV and present it in a good way. The student should also master modern techniques for the production and publication of web pages, as well as knowledge of Search Engine Optimization(SEO). The candidate should also know different presentation techniques, analog and digital, and be familiar with how to work with academic literature. This also applies to writing processes.
The student should be able to understand, and make use of, social media in a relevant way.
The candidate will also master basic programming for use in web publishing as well as optimizing graphics and knowledge of universal design of web.
Communication, research and presentation. Creation of own website and digital CV for personal use. Features of different types of media, production of text and image and layout for web. The course focuses on usability, navigation, structure and other matters related to publishing of content via the web media. Emphasis is also placed on presentation techniques with and without digital tools. Understanding and producing academic texts are included here as well as relevant tools for the writing processes.
Responsive Web Design and Content Management Systems. HTML and CSS. Optimizing graphics for web use. Uploading web pages over FTP. Search engine optimization and universal web design. Business analysis and branding.
Lectures and laboratory work. There is training in the development and use of professional software and hardware. Some rehearsals in student groups. Some compulsory assignments.
Students must pass the compulsory assignments in order to take the examination.
