Public parking areas
The public parking areas are indicated by signs with a black “P” on white background.
Parking is only allowed in marked spaces on the campus area.
The parking fee for the relevant parking area applies for every day of the week and at all hours of the day.
Disabled parking
HC parking with officially approved parking permit
UiA has parking spaces reserved for those who are movement-disabled. These spaces are indicated by HC symbols and signs.
For parking on a HC-marked space, an officially approved parking permit must be visible in the car’s windscreen or on its dashboard. Parking at UiA for those who are movement-disabled is regulated by the Regulation on parking permits for movement-disability.
Disabled parking is free of charge.
Temporary HC parking at UiA
If you break your leg or become temporary movement-disabled in another manner, please contact at help@uia.no to check if you can get a temporary permit to use disabled parking.
the fee for incorrect parking on HC spaces is currently NOK 900,-
Electric cars – parking and charging stations
Electric cars must pay ordinary parking fees. This also applies when they are parked in a space with a charging station.
Campus Kristiansand has 22 charging stations. 10 is placed in their own “pen” on P3 – the parking area in front of Hokus-Pokus kindergarten (Fee: 10 NOK for 14 hours). 12 charging stations at P10 in front of Kunnskapsparken (Fee: 20 NOK per hour). The charging stations at P10 are temporarily out of service.
Separate charging stations for UiA’s electric cars have been installed near the main entrance and on P2 – in Vaskeridalen on the north side of building B-D.
Parking spaces with charging points are reserved for cars that are being charged. After charging, the vehicle must be removed or moved to an ordinary parking space.
Motorcycles and mopeds
Motorcycles and mopeds have to park in separate motorcycles spaces. At Campus Kristiansand motorcycles and mopeds can be parked in front of the bike parking area close to the main entrance.
These spaces are not subject to a parking fee – i.e. they are free of charge. If you park your motorcyckle or moped in an ordinary parking area, you are charged the same fee as for a car.
A seperate parking area for motorcycles and mopeds will be created, but the location is yet to be decided.
Parking fine
Cars parked in a manner that violates the parking rules will be fined, NOK 600 currently - or NOK 900 currently if the car is parked in a space reserved for movement-disabled with a parking permit.
The maximum parking duration is 14 hours per day. If you leave the parking area after paying, you can return without paying a new parking fee within the 14 hours, assuming you have not cancelled your parking in the app and are parking in a space with the same rate as the one you left.
The parking fee for the relevant parking area applies for every day of the week and at all hours of the day.
For employees
At Campus Kristiansand, two parking areas at the end of the road Universitetsveien are reserved for employees. An app is now the only valid parking solution. To access the employee car park, you must download the Apcoa Flow app on your phone or PC. See article on "Innaskjærs" - Parking app for staff at Campus Kristiansand. Once you have created a user and entered the plate number, you add ‘parking benefits’. You can find this by clicking the menu in the upper left corner, go to ‘colleges and universities’ and find the University of Agder. You must log in via Feide to confirm that you are employed at the university. Once you have registered, the registration is valid for one year, and does not have to be renewed every time. You can add several cars to the app, but only one car can be active at a time. If you switch between cars, you must remember to change cars in the app as well.
If you think that a fine has been incorrectly issued, you are entitled to make a complaint. The time limit for submitting a complaint is three weeks from the fine date. The complaint must be submitted in writing. The easiest way to do this is by using the electronic complaint form found at www.kontrollavgift.no. Questions regarding the fine can be directed to customer service: Arvato Finance AS, avd. parkering, Postboks 331 Sentrum, 0101 Oslo, tel +47 22878990 or via Apcoa (EuroPark), tel: +47 22057500 (option 2). A fine that has been disputed, assuming that the time limit for complaints stated in chapter 9, section 44 have been upheld, cannot be sent to debt collection until the legitimacy of the fine has been decided. The right to make a complaint is valid regardless of whether the complainant is assisted by a lawyer or similar.
Apcoa's controlling activity is performed for a set cost. Income from fines and parking go directly to UiA and is used for operating and investing in the parking facilities and for environmental efforts, cf. UiA Board’s resolution in item 101/16 (Norwegian only).
