The Equality and Inclusion Committee (LIU) at the University of Agder is an initiating and advisory body appointed by the University Board. The purpose of the committee is to promote real equality at the University of Agder regardless of gender, ethnicity and functional abilities.
The committee has, in accordance with the adopted adjustment agreement for the institution, a special responsibility as an initiating and advisory body related to gender equality issues within the framework set by the Basic Agreement, the staff regulations and the adjustment agreement.
The "Act relating to equality and a prohibition against discrimination" is fundamental to the work of LIU.
