Harald Rinde (born 1965) is a professor of history at the University of Agder. He has a doctor artium degree from the University of Oslo (2004) on a thesis about the organisation of the telephone systems in the Scandinavian countries in the period ca. 1880-1900. His research has mainly focussed on business history and the history of technology. Rinde has written books and articles on a wide range of subjects, including the history of the legal profession in Norway, telecommunications, power utilities, the aluminium industry, and the electrotecnical industry, as well as a regional history of Nordland in the 20th Century.
