Ajit Jha is is an Associate Professor of Mechatronics at Department of Engineering Sciences where he is actively involved in research focused on Photonic sensing, Robotics, spectrometry, sensor fusion, image/signal processing, IoT, and ML with applied application areas such as ADAS functionalities, Autonomous systems, industrial priocess automation, Sturctuarl health monitring, precision agriculture to name a few. He has been actively participating in serving as technical programme committee committee and organizing special sessions in several symposiums/workshops in IEEE conferences.
Ajit Jha received his joint Doctorate degree in Photonics Engineering, Nano photonics and Biophotonics (Technical University of Catalunya (UPC), Spain) and Mechanical Engineering ( Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany) under Erasmus Mundus Joint Doctorate (EMJD) program - EUROPHOTONICS funded by European Union (EU). After his PhD, he worked at various industries holding position from Test Lead to System Engineer related to Autonomous vehicle working on cutting edge technologies on Automotive ethernet, ADAS, Surround view system, camer mirror system, Blind sport warning to name a few.
Prior to his PhD, he worked as a researcher at Fraunhoffer Heinrich Hertz Institute where he worked on optical wireless communication conversing wireless and optical communication for the last mile. He is also the reciepent of Erasmus Mundus joint master program - Masters of Photonic Network (MAPNET) from the joint consortium of Aston University (England), Scuola Superiore Sant Anna (Italy), Technical University of Berlin (Germany) and Osaka University (Japan) where he gained hands-on experience with optical and wireless communicaiton, photonic sensing.
