Medin is trained as a clinical nutritionist (2007) and obtained her doctoral degree in dietary research from the University of Oslo in 2018. Since 2019, she has been employed as an associate professor in nutrition at the University of Agder. Medin is the deputy leader for the priority research centre for Lifecourse Nutrition and primarily conducts research within the field of public health nutrition.
Her research interests include:
I teach and supervise students in the doctoral program in public health, master's students in public health, and bachelor's students in public health nutrition.
