Said Hadjerrouit received the MS and PhD degrees in informatics from the Technical University of Berlin (Germany), in 1985 and 1992, respectively. He joined Agder University, Kristiansand (Norway) in 1991. He is currently Professor of Mathematics Education at the Department of Mathematical Sciences. He has been in the teaching profession for 30 years.
Hadjerrouit has extensive experience teaching in object-oriented programming, software development, Web engineering, didactics of informatics, mathematics education, and digital tools in mathematics teaching.
His research interests include Web design, didactics of informatics, ICT and learning, e-Learning, digital tools in mathematics education, Web 2.0 technologies, and learning philosophies in mathematics education.

1987-1991: Ph.D. student at Technische Universität Berlin (Germany), Department of Informatics.
1991-1993: Assistant professor at Agder University College, Department of Electronic Data Processing.
1998: Visiting professor at Technische Universität Berlin (Germany), Department of Informatics and Society.
1993-2009: Associate professor at University of Agder, Department of Mathematical Sciences.
2003: Visiting professor at Concordia University, Montreal, Quebec (Canada).
Since 2010: Professor, Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Agder
2013: Visiting professor at the University of Montpellier, Montpellier (France)
Main interests include Web design, didactics of informatics, ICT and learning, e-Learning, mathematics education, digital tools in mathematics education, Web 2.0 technologies, teaching and learning theories, philosophy and mathematics education.
Teaching and supervision experience at B.Sc., M.Sc. level since 1985 and Ph.D. level since 2008. The courses have mainly been devoted to computer science, computer science education, teacher education, and mathematics education.
