Spesialisering

Helge Liltved er utdannet sivilingeniør innen bygg (vann- og avløpsteknologi) fra Montana State University (USA) og har doktorgrad i bioteknologi fra Universitetet i Tromsø. Liltved har arbeidet med transportsystemer for vann, og vann- og avløpsbehandling i over 30 år. Han har ledet eller deltatt i flere store FoU-prosjekter knyttet til rensing og behandling av drikkevann, avløpsvann og vann i industrien. Hovedfokus har vært på hygiene og desinfeksjon, da med UV- og oksidasjonsteknologier. Innen vannforsyning har han arbeidet med problemstillinger knyttet til effekter av klimaendringer på kjemisk og biologisk vannkvalitet, og avbøtende tiltak. Han har arbeidet med overvåking, karakterisering, tiltak og rensing for å begrense forurensninger fra kommunalt og industrielt avløpsvann, inkludert sigevann fra gruver og deponier. Han har lang erfaring med utvikling og optimalisering av ulike renseprosesser i lab-, pilot-, og fullskala, har ledet store nasjonale og internasjonale prosjekter, og har publisert over 40 vitenskapelige artikler, og er medforfatter av 8 lærebøker.
