Rade M. Ciric

Rade Ciric graduated from the University of Novi Sad, received Dipl.- Ing. Diploma in 1987, Magister of Science degree (M.Sci.) From the University of Belgrade in 1992, and gained Doctor of Technical Science degree from the University of Novi Sad - Serbia in 2000, all in electrical engineering.
Since 1987 to 2003 he was with Electric Power Industry of Serbia - Elektrovojvodina Novi Sad, where his responsibilities included analysis, planning and the optimization of the distribution system. Since 1994 to 2001 he had the position of the Head of Network Planning Department. Since 1997 to 2001 he was also the Associate Researcher in the Group for Distribution Management System at Faculty of Engineering, University of Novi Sad.
Since 2001 to 2002 he was Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the State University of Sao Paulo, UNESP Ilha Solteira-SP, Brazil through the FEPISA scholarship.
In 2004/2005 Dr. Ciric was Visiting Professor in Power Systems and Electronics Research Group, University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, UK through The Leverhulme Trust scheme. Since 2005 to 2012 Dr. Ciric was Deputy Secretary for Science and Technological Development in the Government of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia.
Since 2007 to 2012 Dr. Ciric was Research Associate and since 2013 to 2016 he was Senior Research Fellow at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
Since 2012 to 2019 Dr. Ciric has been Professor at the Higher Education Technical School of Professional Studies in Novi Sad, Serbia. Dr Ciric joined the University of Agder on 1 February 2020.
Research interest of Dr. Ciric is in power system analysis, integration of renewable energy sources into the grid, converters, energy efficiency, distribution management systems, power quality, and advanced engineering education.
Dr. Rade Ciric is author and co-author of four books, more than 100 peers reviewed articles in journals and proceedings and many technical reports. He has served as a consultant to the government bodies, as well as Serbian and international companies in power industry (Electric Power Industry of Serbia - EPS, Transmission Network of Serbia - EMS, Schneider Electric, E.ON etc.).

Rade Ciric (Zagreb, 22.06.1962) graduated from the University of Novi Sad -Yugoslavia and received Dipl.- Ing. Diploma in 1987, Magister of Science degree (M.Sci.) From the University of Belgrade-Yugoslavia in 1992, and gained Doctor of Technical Science degree from the University of Novi Sad - Serbia in 2000, all in electrical engineering.
