My PhD project, Skills for Life, is about developing, testing and evaluating a course targeting diet, health and food preparation skills in students at UiA. The course is developed in co-creation with UiA students, and piloted among 28 students Autumn 2023.
I also teach at our nutrition study programs, primarily practical cooking and entrepreneurship related courses.
I am part of the Priority Research Centre of Life Course Nutrition which focuses on food and nutrition from early development. The Skills for Life project targets young adults before parenthood (the preconception period). We believe that the Skills for Life course can be a public health initiative with a triple dividend, as it can improve current and future health in young adults, and also the health of their prospective children.
In advance of my doctorate, I have, among other things, investigated group composition and roles in student enterprises.
I teach at the Bachelor's Programme in Public Health Nutrition.
