This year, the annual spring elections at UiA will be held at the same time. From 3 to 10 May, 13,000 students will vote for 36 new student representatives on faculty boards and to the Student Parliament, while close to 300 temporary employees in academic positions will elect a new representative to the University Board.
In the period 26 April - 3 May, the Faculty of Fine Arts will hold a supplementary election for one of the three representatives on the faculty board for the constituency of employees in academic positions. The election period is from 1 August 2021 to 31 July 2023.
Update Wednesday 3 March: Kristiansand municipality has made face masks mandatory in public spaces indoors where a one-metre distance cannot be maintained. The rate of transmission is increasing in Kristiansand and the alert level may be raised to the second highest level on the national scale.
Kristiansand municipality has implemented further restrictions to reduce the spread of coronavirus. This will also affect UiA’s Campus Kristiansand.
A student at the Faculty of Humanities and Education is in isolation after confirmed coronavirus infection. The student attended a lecture at Campus Kristiansand Wednesday 17 February. The Municipality Health service asks everyone who was in the student canteen the same day to be extra attentive for symptoms of covid-19.
Two more students at the Faculty of Humanities and Education are in voluntarily quarantine after group work with a student who are infected by coronavirus. Update Saturday at 16:30: The coronavirus test was negative for both students.
One student in isolation after confirmed coronavirus infection, and four fellow students i quarantine until their test results are clear. They are all students at the faculty og Engineering and Science at Campus Grimstad.
The campuses will remain open, and teaching continues with the offer of on-campus lectures at least once a week. Employees will continue to work from home as the main rule.
